Sproat Lake is located approximately 5km west of Port Alberni on the Pacific Rim Highway (#4). A short stroll from your room will take you down to the lake where you can enjoy a relaxing day at the beach with picnic tables. As well, you can enjoy the view of Mount Klitsa and the lake from your deck outside the bedroom. Sproat Lake is the home of the famous Mars Water Bombers. They douse up to 40 forest fires a year. Sproat Lake and Sproat River are great fishing spots for Rainbow Trout, Sockeye Salmon and many other varieties. The surrounding lakes in the area offer great opportunities for fly fishing. In and around Sproat Lake, there are miles and miles of trails for hikers, mountain bikers and natures lovers. This can all be found in Port Alberni, the gateway to the Pacific Rim National Park.
